It is part of a large regional network created in 1990 with its headquarters in Lomé, Togo. The network is established in 11 West African countries and has points in 4 other countries. Its mission is to promote and strengthen strategies that link law to development for the emergence of a Culture of Exercising and Respecting Women's Rights in Africa. Its vision is to have a West African community of citizens informed, inspired and committed to contributing to a world in which all girls and women enjoy all their human rights on the same basis as men.
