NYA is a non-governmental organization with its headquarters in Kabwana, Shirati, Rorya, Mara, Tanzania. The organization was established in 2006 and was officially registered in 2008 under the NGO Act of 2002. MVIWANYA is registered under the Ministry of Community Development, Gender, and Children. Initially, the organization was registered to operate in only one district, Rorya. By 2018, the needs of members and beneficiaries led to the decision to expand the organization to increase its operational scope and service delivery to the community. MVIWANYA is now registered to operate throughout mainland Tanzania.
