The International Disability Alliance is the global representative alliance of the disability rights movement, bringing together a unique mix of global and regional networks that collectively represent more than 5,500 organizations of persons with disabilities worldwide. IDA exists to advance the rights, leadership, and full participation of persons with disabilities by ensuring that OPDs shape the laws, policies, financing, institutions, and accountability systems that affect their lives. Grounded in the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, IDA works to transform global, regional, national, and local systems so that disability inclusion is rights-based, OPD-led, and embedded across development, humanitarian action, peacebuilding, climate, health, education, social protection, and public life.
